Why I Mentor

Building businesses is my passion and I love ideas. I find it incredibly exciting to watch while our students flourish, and build confidence while working with their peers, and get guidance from their mentors in our programs. I’m honored to be able to experience this fun time with them!

We’ve been busy keeping our curriculum current with topics and resources to keep you up to date.

My Story:
I was laid off from my corporate job in 2006, which was really jarring. But I woke up the next day and said to myself, "I will never work for anyone else ever again." I started my own consulting business and was able to pick up the pieces and create a job and lifestyle that worked well for me and my family.

Technically, I still do work for "other people", my clients! But I get to choose with whom I work, and I have a lot of control over my time. That has been the most rewarding aspect of working for myself.

Allie and I created Hatch Network and our Start-up Program after working with scores of women entrepreneurs. As a brand consultant, people came to me with their checkbooks open, but they were under-educated in what they needed to get their business off on the right foot. Fundamental things like targeting your audience or defining you niche. The curriculum we’ve written reflects many of the lessons we taught (and learned) along the way.

I’m so glad to have put this knowledge and experience into a program that will help women create a solid foundation for their business. Every day is an opportunity to make a positive difference, and I intend to build Hatch Network into the premier brand for entrepreneurial women to be empowered.
