Programs:
Hatch Pod programs certainly aren’t for dummies, but we do make it easier for you to do business by putting you in an environment where you can ask questions and get more information. Every session is a transformationwhere you will be challenged to think differently and come up with creative solutions to your business needs. It’s kind of like having your own advisory board where people share openly and honestly to get you to your very best.

Triple Bottom Line:
Do you want to help make the world a better place? You can change the world by
spreading the Triple Bottom Line Philosophy far and wide. It’s easy! If everyone
incorporates the 3BL, where you measure your business success in terms of your impact on the planet, and your influence on your communities, in addition to your own financial bottom line, our planet will be cleaner, our communities will be happier, and everyone will have more than enough money to thrive. The great thing is, you don’t have to run a non-profit or eco-business to do this. We will show you how to reap the 3BL benefits while running the business you already love.

Motivated Mentors:
You say you only want to learn from the best? We have you covered! We all know that the best people in the business don’t come cheap. So, in order to attract and retain the best mentors for our students, we compensate them for their time and expertise. Your tuition dollars go toward hiring A-1 mentors—and since you’re learning in a group, the resources are pooled so everyone benefits!

Project EBO:
You know you are an ethical business owner, but does everyone else? EBO stands for
Ethical Business Owner. Project EBO will unite all ethical business owners across the country and the world through a certification and a promise. EBO is just a hatchling now, but it’s about to take flight. EBO will be the premiere symbol for doing business with trustworthy individuals like you. Get certified. Work with people you trust. Certification is required to be part of the Hatch Network community – it’s built right into your profile.

The women in Hatch Network are smart, funny, motivated, and involved with wildly successful businesses. Does this sound like the sort of woman with whom you would like to work?

You see, we only work with people we really like. Do you?

There are lots of organizations that support women entrepreneurs. You’ve
probably checked out some of them. If they didn’t feel quite like "you,” maybe it was because you were in the wrong place. Finding the right community is all about chemistry and finding your people.

Being involved with these women will give you the mojo to stay motivated in business and in life. They have got that kind of energy that just makes you feel good, and they all want the same thing – businesses that will make them rich, and afford them dream lifestyles!

Hatch Network is not a membership-based organization. We consider everyone to be contributors in one way or another. Joining our community, the Booster Club, is free. We will have special sales throughout the year where you can purchase cool apparel and other business items. We use the proceeds from those sales to help us maintain our campus, the Hatch Network website.

Posting Section:
You can share ideas and brainstorm with other contributors, promote your events, sell goods in classifieds, get answers to your questions, and have your important business needs met. You will get more attention from new potential clients who need what you have to offer.

Events:
You get to shine and meet others who are shining at all co-sponsored networking events, Pod graduations, and at Open Houses wherever Pods have formed. You are invited to fabulous local and national events, including our annual Hullabaloo (coming in 2011).

Directory:
Your public listing will be seen by thousands of people who potentially want to do business with you. In return, you can search for people you want to do business with as well.

PR:
You get full access to all the PR opportunities that come to Hatch. We don’t actively seek PR opportunities, as there are plenty of great organizations out there already focused on this need.

Project EBO:
If you take our Ethical Business Owner (EBO) certification quiz, you can tell the world you are an Ethical Business Owner (aka a terrific business owner) by proudly displaying your EBO Certification badge on your website.

Money:
We offer discounted preferred partner rates when available. We do not do affiliate marketing. If we are passing along a discount or a deal, it’s because we believe in it, not because we are making money off of it.

Overarching what was great about the program from a group learning point of view?

From a group learning point of view I found the Hatch pods to offer a space of support, knowledge and affirmation.
• A group of women entrepreneurs offered the support and insights so necessary to help our business grow and reach new height.
• Each person brought their own experience and diversity expanding the knowledge base available to each one of us.
• And working with other women felt like a personal affirmation that not only was it possible but also extremely important for women, with their unique perspective on entrepreneurship, step more actively into the business world.

What was positive about your experience with your mentor?

I appreciate the depth of knowledge and experience of our mentor Cathy Curtis. Cathy is a female entrepreneur who walks her talk. She not only shares the successes she has had, but also the challenges she has faced along the way making the process of business seem more attainable and real!

I also felt that Cathy has become one of our number 1 cheerleaders. She believes in each one of her pod-dettes and is not afraid to let each one of us know. She is very generous with her contacts, her knowledge and her ideas and I feel that she has become an essential member of my support team.

Specifically, what was one key thing that happened for you in the group?

By participating in the group I realized how big my business Inner Economics could grow. I was reflected back my strengths and weaknesses and encouraged to take steps in new directions and to take risks I would have been too scared to take before. For that level of foresight, encouragement and accountability I am extremely grateful.

Which chapter or exercise was your favorite and why?

I really enjoyed Chapter 2- Thinking Big for our Fellow Pod-mates. This was one of the most powerful exercises for me, not only because it gave me free creative reign to think big for my fellow pod-mates, but also because when their reflections were read back to me I felt “seen” in such a deep and important way. I felt that I had gone through an initiation of sorts, where other women entrepreneurs had looked at my business and mirrored back that not only was it a viable endeavor, but that I could soar to new heights that I never dreamed possible. Through this exercise I gained the permission I needed (that I didn’t even know I was lacking) to really grow something big.

What breakthroughs did you have?

• Authentic business is really about a process of “hatching”
• Concise messaging is extremely important to get our business ideas and values across to our customers
• How important it is to have a support team in this process
• My business incorporates 3 main aspects: Private Consultation, Teaching and Writing and they all need to happen simultaneously
• By standing within the framework of the triple bottom line I can continue to change the way I feel about “profit” to call that more income into my business (without undermining my own values)
• My business will grow not always on “my” timeframe and in fact sometimes when I let it go, it surprises me by opening new doors
• Having a power point presentation of my business really helps make it feel real
• I can really be big!

What did you learn from the women in your group?

I learned that each one likes and dislikes certain aspects of the business world and that is ok. We can compliment our strengths and weaknesses by partnering up and collaborating in new ways.
I also learned that bouncing ideas from other women is extremely important in gaining clarity on next steps and peculating ideas. Even if we don’t follow the advice give to us, the process of communicating what is stirring from within helps clarify what we do know and where we do want to go.

I learned that other woman also struggle with setting their prices. This is extremely important in the work I do because I do see how women still closely connect money and relationships, and the more we create “space” between what we charge and the quality of our product/service, the more we can continue to stand in and charge our full worth.

I learned that several of us can overextend ourselves and over commit to too many things. That is it important to discern between being “invited to a wedding” and planning one (thanks Alli!)

And I learned that it is possible to have a family, be a mother and a successful entrepreneur. They are not exclusive but can play off of each other in surprising ways.

At Hatch Network, your satisfaction is guaranteed. If you are not satisfied with the results of your Pod program, we will refund you the full amount. In order to receive your refund you will need to have met the following requirements:

1. You must attend all sessions. No dropping out.
2. You must have paid the full amount prior to starting the Pod.
3. If you want a refund, we will send you a brief questionnaire to help us get a better understanding of what was missing for you, so we can learn how to better serve people in the future.

*You are welcome to take more than one Pod per year. The only requirement is a "yes" from the Pod Mentor. Prices may change over time, lock in your rate today. Alumnae members still pay full price for Pod programs.
